Delete your account

You can delete your Nuolo account and its data at any time. This page applies to the Nuolo app on iPhone and Android, published by Nostalgy.

Delete it in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Nuolo and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. On iPhone you’ll be asked to type DELETE; on Android you’ll confirm twice.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Can’t open the app, or used Nuolo as a guest?

Email privacy@nostalgy.dev with the subject “Delete my Nuolo data”. If you have an account, write from the address linked to it. If you only used Nuolo as a guest (without an account), tell us so and we’ll help you identify your data. We’ll confirm the request and complete it within 30 days. We may ask you to verify that the data is yours.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a Nuolo Unlimited subscription — Apple or Google bill it, not us. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account to stop future charges.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details (email, name, password)
  • Your preferences and settings
  • Your guide ratings and survey answers
  • Your daily usage counters
  • Your customer record at our purchase provider (RevenueCat)

What we keep, and for how long

After deletion we separate your email and name from the following records, but an internal account ID can remain on them:

  • Purchase, refund and usage-balance records, kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, refunds and chargebacks.
  • A hashed identifier of your device, kept to enforce the free-guide limit.
  • Guide activity logs (place, language, outcome), deleted automatically within 90 days.
  • Analytics, crash reports and screen recordings stored by PostHog, deleted at the end of their retention period. To have them deleted sooner, email us.

Guide texts and audio are stored per place, not per person, so they don’t contain your information. Data stored only on your phone (recent searches, downloaded audio, saved guide text) is removed when you uninstall the app.
